A Floral Weekend
16 and 17 August 2025
Starting Saturday afternoon, and ending Sunday evening, attend 1, 2 or all 3 of these project based 3hr watercolour workshops where we will focus our brushstrokes, techniques and skills to create these 3 different flowers themes.​

Our venue is the warm and cozy Wellspring Warburton, right in my town of Warburton, in the Upper Yarra Valley, 80km east of Melbourne. With plenty of cafes and walks and places to visit nearby, make this a weekend art retreat for you and friends!

These workshops are beginner friendly as well as the intermediate painter who paints in other mediums and want to learn this new style of painting. Take home your very own pieces of art to hang on your wall or gift to loved ones and friends.

5 Week Course
Thursday Mornings - 7 Aug to 4 Sep 2025
After a lovely weekly weekday class here in Warburton, we are coming back with another course of 5 classes. This time on a Thursday morning for those of you who missed out because you couldn't make a Friday. And if you have taken ANY class with me before, you get $50 off the course fees! ​
​​In this immersive and comprehensive course, we will discover the magical therapeutic qualities of watercolour by creating painting beautiful inspiring flowers right here in this most inspiring beautiful town of Warburton, right on the river's edge in the heart of town. Over the course of 10 hours we will cover:
​
- Understand all about our supplies and materials and how to use and take care of them.
- Practice brushstrokes required for floral painting
- Learn water 'control' and colour mixing.
- Understand how to achieve depth and interest with values.
- Learn key watercolour techniques and uncover the stunning effects of watercolour.
-Understand basic floral composition principles.
-Paint all the basic flowers as single stalks, in loose bouquets and more.
- Flowers we will paint : Roses, Poppies, Daisies, Zinnias, Dahlias, Tulips, Hydrangeas and more!

Workshop cancellation policy:
If you give more than 10 days notice prior to commencement of the workshop or course, you may receive a full refund for your course fee. Cancellations between 3-10 days from the workshop date will not receive a refund, but you may reschedule for a future date (to the value of your course fee). Cancellations less than three days from the start date will not be refunded. Your purchase is in acceptance of these terms.​​​

Materials list for the 10hr watercolour course
If you opt for the supplies, here's what I will be providing.
If you are bringing your own, this is a good list of what you may/will need:

Paint & Palette
A full plastic palette of professional grade paints (Holbein) in these 10 colours (At least 3ml or a 'half pan' of paint for each colour) - worth $30:
- Lemon Yellow (Or Cad Yellow)
- Scarlet Lake

- Mineral or Perm Violet

*Note that if you chose to come with student grade paints (i.e. cotmans, reeves, montmarte etc), the results won't be as vibrant and bright as professional grade.
